'American Idol' atop ratings for week, but CBS has most viewers

"American Idol" remains America's favorite TV show and brought Fox the most young adults last week.

But CBS continued to be the nation's most-watched broadcast network.

CBS averaged 10.8 million viewers in prime time for the week ending Sunday. Here's how the other broadcast networks fared: Fox with 8.8 million, ABC with 8.7 million, NBC with 6.4 million, The CW with 1.9 million and MyNetworkTV with 1.5 million.

CBS edged Disney-owned ABC for second in the 18-to-49 age group won by Fox.

Here are the most-watched programs for the week:

3. "Dancing With the Stars" Monday, ABC, 20.3 million


4. "NCIS," CBS, 16.72 million

5. "The Mentalist," CBS, 16.67 million

6. "Grey's Anatomy," ABC, 15.5 million

7. "CSI," CBS, 14.9 million

8. "Dancing With the Stars" Tuesday, ABC, 14.6 million

9. "Two and a Half Men 1-5 dvd box set," CBS, 14.2 million

10. "Criminal Minds," CBS, 14.1 million
